As Cornell Students for Justice in Palestine, we support the Ithaca Food Justice Campaign for Palestine’s call on boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israeli products. In solidarity, we support their efforts in the collection of signatures for a referendum as well as blanket boycotting all Israeli products such as Sabra hummus, Tribe hummus and Israeli peppers. By doing such, we will answering the Palestinian society’s call for launching boycotts and divestment movements until Palestinian rights are recognized and until Israel meets its obligations under international law, which ultimately include:
1. Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands occupied in June 1967 and dismantling the Wall;
2. Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and
3. Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN Resolution 194.
